Thousands of Interfaith Children from Pray for the Passing of Prince Dr. Damien Dematra







Amidst a world filled with intolerance and anti-peace, the figure of Prince Dr. Damien Dematra emerged. A figure who continuously contributed to peace. Often called the Prince of Peace, he passed away 100 days ago, precisely on April 27, 2025.


Various groups, figures, and relatives expressed their condolences and felt the loss of his figure.


In the 100 days since his passing, thousands of young men and women from various religions have prayed for him according to their respective beliefs.


Thousands of children at the Istiqlal Mosque prayed for the Prince of Peace, as did hundreds of children from various religions at the Interfaith Youth Conference held in Bali and Surakarta. Hundreds of children at various Islamic boarding schools across Indonesia also prayed for the Prince of Peace.


Representatives of various religions, including Confucianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Catholicism, and Islam, interfaith figures and relatives felt the loss of Prince Dr. Dematra.  Damien Dematra.


The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, President Joko Widodo, also expressed his deep sorrow for this inspiring figure. "I offer my deepest condolences."


The United Nations Representative, Dr. Abraham Joseph, also expressed his deep sorrow. "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Prince Dr. Damien Dematra."


Prince KPAA Dr. Damien Dematra was known as a figure of peace and tolerance who continued to advocate for peace until the end of his life.


He was a multi-talented figure. In addition to being a peace activist, he was a film director, novelist, screenwriter, producer, international photographer, and painter. He has been featured in numerous magazines and news outlets, including New York-based Time Magazine, CNN International, and many others. He also holds 13 world records in various fields.


Last year, Prince Damien Dematra received the Peacemaker of the Year Award from As-Safiiyah University, "for his extraordinary contribution to peace and tolerance in the world," and was recommended for the Nobel Peace Prize. This recommendation follows similar Nobel Peace Prize nominations made by the Speakers of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), the House of Representatives (DPR), and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD).


He holds the highest title from the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace: Kanjeng Pangeran Aryo Adipati (KPAA). The royal title of Pangeran Agung was bestowed upon him by the Buleleng Royal Palace in Bali. The title of Pangeran was bestowed upon him by the Pakualaman Palace in Yogyakarta. These titles and titles were awarded for his significant contributions to peace, culture, and humanity. Furthermore, many kingdoms and royal palaces have honored his achievements by appointing him as Prince and Honorary Prince.


This recognition for his contributions to peace has earned him 12 Nobel Peace Prize nominations (the highest award for world peace figures) for his significant and ongoing contributions to peace over the years.


He has received over 700 national and international awards.  He has written 101 novels in both English and Indonesian, 81 films and TV screenplays, and produced 48 films across various genres. As a painter, he has produced thousands of sketches and paintings, including 365 in just one year. He also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the USA.


His profile and work have been published by international media outlets such as Time, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, AP, AFP, Reuters, USA Today, ABC, NBC, New York, Forbes, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Channel NewsAsia, Al Jazeera TV, NHK Japan, KBS (Korea), TV 3 Malaysia, Iran TV, and others.


He is the initiator and national coordinator of the Care for Pluralism Movement and also the head of the National Writing Movement in Indonesia. He currently holds 13 world records, including: the world's fastest writer, the fastest novel published, the world's fastest photographer, the world's fastest painter, the world's thickest book, and the world's fastest feature film production.  in history, from scriptwriting to premiere in 9 days, 17 days, and 45 minutes.


He has won hundreds of international awards at various film competitions and festivals in America, Europe, and Asia, including Best Director and Best Screenplay. He initiated Nusantara Peace Day with numerous kings, sultans, royal families, and the Nusantara Cultural Council. He also initiated the International Culture Day and the Cultural Movement for Peace, which were launched at the Kacirebonan Sultanate Palace. This movement went viral, and within just a few months, 150 countries and kingdoms joined and honored him.


A prestigious American magazine selected him as Man of the Year and featured on the cover of the magazine. He also founded the World Peace & Culture Council.

He founded Peace20, a global initiative aimed at actively engaging with the G20 engagement group. Peace20 holds the record for collective signatures for the "World's Thickest Book with a Message of Peace," with over 25,500 people representing 53 countries covering over 5,200 pages. Peace20 is now continuing its journey to Brazil, following its success in India. 


Together with the Visions of Peace Initiative, he set the record for "The World's Largest Book with a Message of Peace." This book, containing thousands of works of art by young people about peace from VOPI events over the years, was launched at the United Nations in New York.


Toward the end of his life, he and the Visions of Peace Initiative launched the Golden Rule Interfaith Youth Conference, an interfaith youth conference designed to inspire peace within the younger generation for a better world.


"The legacy of peace must continues," said the Prince of Prince, Prince Dr. Damien Dematra in his last words.

Di BEKASI DENGAN SINERGITAS TNI–POLRI HADIRI UNDANGAN HUT RI KE-80 DI KELURAHAN CIKIWUL KECAMATAN BANTARGEBANG





 Bertempat di area Kantor Kelurahan Cikiwul, Kecamatan Bantargebang, Kota Bekasi, Kapolsek Bantargebang Kompol Sukadi, SH., MM. yang diwakili oleh Ps. Kanit Binmas Iptu Jamingan menghadiri kegiatan perlombaan dan hiburan rakyat dalam rangka memeriahkan Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-80, Bekasi Kota, Sabtu (10/8/2025). 

Rangkaian kegiatan diawali dengan lomba jalan santai yang mengambil start di halaman Gebang Kelurahan Cikiwul. Pelepasan peserta dilakukan secara resmi oleh Camat Bantargebang, Bpk. H. Cecep Miftah Farid, S.STP., MM. Usai jalan santai, acara dilanjutkan dengan pembagian doorprize, penyerahan hadiah lomba, serta hiburan rakyat yang disambut antusias oleh warga.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, tampak hadir sejumlah pejabat, tokoh masyarakat, dan unsur TNI–Polri, di antaranya:
Bpk. Warsin (Sekdisdik Kota Bekasi),Bpk. H. Cecep Miftah Farid, S.STP., MM (Camat Bantargebang),Bpk. Sarwin Edi (Anggota DPRD Fraksi Golkar),Bpk. Acep Supriyadi, S.IP (Lurah Cikiwul), Bpk. Tholib S. Hidayat, SH., MH (Ketua LPM), Bpk. H. Daud (Ketua MUI Kecamatan Bantargebang),Iptu Jamingan (Kanit Binmas Polsek Bantargebang), Aiptu Suwarto, S.Sos (Bhabinkamtibmas Kelurahan Cikiwul),Peltu Ferry (Babinsa mewakili Danramil 05 Bantargebang),Serka Alim (Babinsa),Serda Samingun (Babinsa), Perwakilan warga dari setiap RW serta peserta lomba.

Ps. Kanit Binmas Polsek Bantargebang, Iptu Jamingan, menyampaikan bahwa kehadiran TNI–Polri dalam kegiatan ini merupakan wujud nyata sinergitas dengan pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat. “Momen peringatan HUT RI ini bukan hanya ajang hiburan, tetapi juga menjadi sarana mempererat persatuan, kebersamaan, dan semangat gotong-royong di tengah masyarakat,” ujarnya.

Kegiatan berlangsung aman, lancar, dan penuh keakraban. Kehadiran masyarakat dari berbagai kalangan menambah semarak peringatan HUT RI ke-80 di Kelurahan Cikiwul, Kecamatan Bantargebang, Kota Bekasi.
